Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be in to accept delivery?

We will always arrange a convenient time for your delivery. However, if you are not in, our driver will use their discretion and leave your goods in a safe place. Our driver will always take a photograph as proof of delivery.

 

Where will you leave my order?
Our driver will always be as helpful as possible and will put your order where you want it, within reason. Be aware though it is a kerbside delivery service. We don’t not have a crane or forklift facility on our vehicles.

 

How long will my order take?
We aim to deliver within 2-3 working days for stock items within the local delivery zone but we will always keep you informed if we are not able to complete delivery on time. We will contact you once you order is placed to advise when your delivery will be made.

 

What if my order is not a stock item?
Everything on our website is generally in stock. Please note that some items may be on back order. Products that are not usually a stock item will be ordered in directly from our suppliers, but some items take longer than others to come in. 2 to 3 days would be an average lead time for non-stocked items, but we will keep you updated the progress of your order.

 

Will you be in touch to arrange my delivery?

If a date is not arranged at the point of purchase, we will contact you to confirm when we will be delivering.

If my postcode is not listed, can I still get a delivery from you?

We deliver throughout Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire and a delivery charge applies. Deliveries to North Scarle and our immediate local area are free of charge. We can still arrange deliveries outside of these areas. You will need to contact us with your requirements and postcode so we can provide you with a quote. Bulk orders further afield can be made by palleted transportation…we are happy to
get a quote from the company on your behalf.

 

What if my order arrives damaged?
Our stock is checked when loaded at our yard and our driver will always check the order as it unloaded at the delivery address. For deliveries that are left in your absence, we will always take photographic evidence. Get in touch to let us know what the issue is, and we will do our best to resolve the problem. We will ask for a picture so if you can email this to us it would really help. We cannot accept any returns on ‘used’ products e.g. cut or machined/fixings applied. Please be aware that as timber is a natural product it will vary in colour and appearance. Images on our website have been used to best portray the products we sell.
